Who we are
The Blue Riband Society (BRS) is an non-profit organization dedicated to  strengthening the transatlantic partnership. We aim at improving the cooperation and exchange between future conservative leaders in Europe and the US. To accomplish this mission, the BRS will work to advance relations between young American and European conservatives by helping them to develop a better understanding of each other.
The Blue Riband was an accolade given to the fastest passenger liners crossing the Atlantic Ocean. Since 1832 it honored those ships that connected the old and the new world, transporting ideas and people in hope for a brighter future. With its name the Blue Riband Society is proud to honor the memory of these men and women that laid the foundation for the transatlantic partnership and whose ideals lived on into our times.
What we stand for
There is not one single type of conservative in the U.S. or Europe, but conservatives must all agree on the very basic principles that guide our view of society and politics. We all believe in freedom and personal responsibility, democracy and the market economy, limited government and practical reforms, religion and heritage. And because we share many of these beliefs with our allies across the Atlantic, we also believe that it is in the interest of both the Americans and Europeans to cooperate in addressing the challenges of the 21st century.
